Set in a snowy Iranian army training camp, the intimacy of the barracks is contrasted with the namelessness of the conscripts. When one of them gets a leave to go to Tehran this recorder becomes a means of communicating to home for many of the conscripts, and is a way for them to pick up the sounds of the city in the remote training camp.
