Europe was part of the popular "hair metal" genre of the mid- to late 1980s, featuring bands like Bon Jovi and Def Leppard. The band split up in 1992 and then celebrated a comeback with its original lineup in 2003. "We've been together longer now than before we split up," says Joey Tempest.
