Shaun Ward

Shaun Ward is a violinist and composer who is known for Simply Red. Born son of jazz violinist Michael Ward, he naturally gravitated to violin at the age of 3, beginning a professional music career at the age of 9. Throughout the course of his career, his soulful touch on the violin has won over the hearts of music lovers from all walks of life. His creativity flourishes on stage not only as a solo performer and bandleader, but also as a music director, having served as MD for BET Music Matters Artists' Ashley Kimbrae, and The Rap Pack; appearing on 106&Park and The BET Experience at LA Live, New Orleans Jazz Fest, Baton Rouge's Live After 5, to backing R&B Crooners such as RL of "NEXT", and Calvin Richardson. This talented musician has earned the admiration and affection of critics and fans alike. His universal appeal has allowed him to travel both domestically and internationally on Jazz, Blues, and R&B Tours, opening for artists such as R.Kelly, Anthony Hamilton, Carl Thomas, K.Michelle, Tyrese, and more.
