Toshio Shimada

Toshio Shimada (島田 敏男, Shimada Toshio, born in 1959) is a senior researcher at the NHK Broadcasting Culture Research Institute. He has served as a political reporter, commentator, deputy chief commentator, and head of the Nagoya-based broadcasting station. His fields of expertise are politics and diplomacy. He is originally from Yamanashi Prefecture.
