Ummid Ashraf

Ummid Ashraf (b. November 1997) is a multidisciplinary artist. He is the founder of Bipod - an independent production house based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. His directorial debut short film "DHET!" got selected at the Fantasia International Film Festival 2025 and Sitges International Film Festival 2025. He produced, wrote, directed, edited and was the colorist for it. Ummid's journey in film started as a colorist - "Priyo Maloti", "Dui Shaw", "Foreigners Only" being his most notable works. He makes music under the name "uummiid". He released his debut LP titled "ummid" in 2022.
