Lyric Marie Benson was born on September 20, 1980 in Overland Park, Kansas, USA. She was an actress, known for Law & Order: Criminal Intent (2001) and Chappelle's Show (2003). She died on April 25, 2003 in Soho, Manhattan, New York City, New York, USA. She was shot in front of her New York apartment on April 25, 2003, by her obsessed ex-fiancé, and died a day later. Her father Terry started up a non-profit organization called "Lyric of Life" in the hopes of raising organ donor awareness; assisting donor and recipient families; and granting college scholarships to senior theater students.
