J.W. George is a Michigan-based independent filmmaker with a particular interest in the horror genre. He classifies his work as Midwestern Gothic. Much of what he writes focuses on the dark underbelly of life in Smalltown, USA. Lies, murder, infidelity, sins, crime, and the realities of everyday life that are so often overlooked to present a sanitized vision of what life “should” be are the core of his work.
