Sofia Patterson-Gutierrez

Sofía is from Stockport and is currently in her fifth year at Chetham’s School of Music, studying classical flute with Fiona Fulton and jazz with Iain Dixon and Les Chisnall. She is Principal flautist of National Youth Orchestra and winner of the Chetham’s Concerto Competition 2021. She enjoys playing in a variety of ensembles, from a wind quintet and violin, flute and piano trio to Afrocuban band and jazz quartet. While studying for her A-levels, she enjoys doing yoga as well as walks in the countryside.
