Luthgardo Niedo (Dona Paz survivor)

Luthgardo Niedo is a former soldier of the Philippine Constabulary and survivor of the MV Doña Paz tragedy on December 20, 1987. Niedo has a wife and three children. Niedo claimed he was the first to jump into the water to flee the burning Doña Paz, whilst also claiming he tried to save a drowning girl before being swept away by a wave.
