José A. Rivera, known in the wrestling world as Steve King, was a well-known independent wrestler from the northeastern United States, active primarily between 1976 and 1984. In addition to his time in the WWF, King also competed in other promotions such as the World Wrestling Council (WWC) in Puerto Rico and Pro Wrestling USA, expanding his presence and establishing himself as a significant figure in the wrestling circuit. Steve King is also known as the father of professional wrestler Karissa Rivera, who has followed in his footsteps in the wrestling world and gained notable recognition in her own career. Sadly, Steve King passed away on June 29, 1998, due to complications from cancer. His legacy lives on both in the wrestling community and through his family, particularly through his daughter, Karissa, who continues the path he paved in the ring.
