Joseph Novo

Joseph Novo was an American professional wrestler active mainly during the 1970s and early 1980s. He competed in promotions such as Championship Wrestling from Florida, World Wide Wrestling Federation, Stampede Wrestling, World Class Championship Wrestling, and World Championship Wrestling (Australia). Known by various ring names including Joe Nova, Butcher Brannigan, and Crusher Brannigan, Novo was especially prominent in Australia, where he won multiple tag team championships. He also made brief television appearances, including on the series Starsky and Hutch in 1976. He passed away at the age of 61 due to kidney failure and heart disease.
