A legend of the Mumbai Ranji team, he amassed over 11,000 first-class runs during a prolific two-decade career, famously scoring 260 on his first-class debut. He led Mumbai to a Ranji Trophy title with his calm temperament and impeccable technique. Following his retirement, Muzumdar transitioned into a successful high-performance coach, eventually taking on the prestigious role of Head Coach for the Indian Women's National Cricket Team in 2023.
