Location: Brazil Explorer Bruce Parry travels to the Amazon rainforest to live with the Matis, a tribe once devastated by western disease who are determined to preserve their culture.
2. Nenets
Location: Russia Explorer Bruce Parry travels to the frozen tundra of Northern Siberia, spending a month with a brigade of Nenet reindeer herders during their winter migration. The herders travel hundreds of miles in temperatures that can drop to -40.
3. Anuta
Location: Solomon Islands He sails to the island of Anuta, a tiny tropical outpost in the South Pacific, one of the most isolated communities on Earth.
4. Akie
Location: Tanzania Bruce Parry spends time with the Akie people, one of the last groups of hunter-gatherers to live on the African savannah. He is forced to face his biggest fear and put his hand into a bees' nest to gather wild honey.
5. Layap
Location: Bhutan Bruce Parry treks into the high mountains in the tiny Himalayan kingdom of Bhutan to live with the isolated Layap people.
6. Penan
Location: Sarawak, Borneo Bruce Parry treks into the jungles in search of the last nomadic Penan. The Penan are hunter-gatherers whose forest home is in the process of being cut down around them and whose traditional way of life is about to disappear forever.
