An escaped murderer persuades a young boy to get him clothes and food. But when the child's father discovers the items are missing, he calls Mark Saber.

Freddy Benson steals diamonds smuggled in from Amsterdam and leaves the courier for dead. The courier reaches former Sir George Royston but dies. Royston has been in prison so decides to ask Mark Saber for help rather than the police.

John Perry is arrested for the murder of Howard Armstrong. He is engaged to his niece Julia, who asks Mark Saber for help. Housekeeper Mrs. Frost worships Armstrong and wants Perry to hang. She later admits Armstrong committed suicide.

Mrs. Kraft finds the body of Mrs Ridley, the companion to neighbour Mrs. Verity. Mark Saber learns Mrs. Verity has just died and Mrs. Ridley was set to be the main beneficiary. Mrs. Verity's family are now jockeying over who benefits most.
8. A Toast to Death
Sylvia suspects that her mother's second husband, Count Dariani, is up to no good. She engages Mark Saber, who solves the mystery with a bottle of champagne.
9. It Walks at Night
Sir Thomas Winters begs Mark Saber for help. He says he is haunted by the Curse of Eye Halwara and claim he has actually seen it. His family believe he's going out of his mind. Saber learns that the family will all benefit from his death.

Joe Kelly meets Kathleen Grant to ask about his fiancee Jane's suicide. He believes that Jane's father, Uncle William is lying and asks Mark Saber to get to the truth. He learns that Kathleen has now inherited Jane's money worth £100,000.

Frank gambles heavily to impress a girl. But he loses all his money, and puts her life in danger. As a result, Mark Saber is engaged to save her.

A caretaker, Dumphy throws a brick at a thief running away. The thief is dead but only has a lighting fixture on him. The dead man's is Albert Taff, a bank guard who suddenly quit. Mark Saber learns lighting fixture is made of platinum.

Fred Winchell has just been released from prison. Tom Brent offers him the chance earn £50,000. All he has to do is give Tom and his wife an alibi when he leaves to murders his aunt. The local inspector is foxed and asks Mark Saber help.
19. Under Suspicion
A young London policeman asks detective Mark Saber to assist him in clearing his name when Scotland Yard suspects him of complicity in a series of robberies.

Mr. Shaw is an house builder who has been hit by a string of arson's. He fell out with the fire service and asks Mark Saber to find the culprit. Mrs. Walston was sacked from Shaw's and she told her son Chester, who set fires in revenge.

The trainer of a prizefighter asks Mark Saber to investigate when his fighter walks out before a championship bout.

Amy Kubrick visits London to see the editor of the Daily Echo. They printed a picture of a man she recognised. He is Mason Crowder and later confronts him. Next day she is found strangled. The editor recognises her and tells Mark Saber.

A young jockey who brings in the first winner for a hard-luck racing stable disappears after his victory. The stable owner's daughter asks Mark Saber to investigate.
28. Death Hides Out
An elderly lady visits Mark Saber, because she believes her house is haunted. He agrees to take the case, and to spend the night at the property.
29. Switch to Murder
A sultan discovers that a diamond delivered to him by a jewelry salesman is fake and Mark Saber is hired by an insurance company to investigate the switch.
30. Silence for Sale
Sir Robert Quinlan hires detective Mark Saber to find a blackmailer. Saber becomes suspicious when he discovers that the blackmailer has not approached Sir Robert, but his wife, Lady Quinlan.
31. Arena for Fraud
A young boxer wishes to give up the fight game, but vested interests stand to lose a lot of money if he walks away, and doesn't become the champion.
32. 1000 Alibis
An elderly woman informs Mark Saber that her son's life is threatened by a young actress. The young man ridicules the idea that anyone is trying to kill him, but while he is being questioned by Saber, someone takes a shot at him.
33. The Opportunists
Susy Wilmot and her friend Betty are on a touring holiday, in the West Country. They are unaware someone is watching. Her father, Fred gets an anonymous call demanding £10,000, in the next 24 hours. He agrees but asks Mark Saber to help.

Businessman John Adams wife Stella has weaponised her heart attack to be spiteful. Adams is meeting actress Betsy Linton. His designer Lynch, wants him to let him out of of his royalties deal. When Adams is shot, Betsy needs Mark Saber.
37. Dead Before Arrival
Mari Carmen asks Mark Saber to find her guitarist boyfriend, Antonio Peron, who has vanished. Saber learns a dead body was found by workers moving crates, at the dock. The body is unrecogisable but Saberis sure his boss, Gujaro is lying.
38. Fire!
Mark Saber is employed by an insurance company to investigate a series of fires plaguing the warehouses owned by Roy Burgess.
