Dummy, a deaf-mute, performs as a mechanical man in a department store window during the Christmas Season. A murder takes place in the street and Dummy is the only witness.

A bridge, used in transporting ammunition to the Germans, has to be destroyed. Two OSS officers, Major Anderson and a Lieutenant, are assigned to parachute into occupied France and carry out the mission.
