50 years ago the Watergate break-in coverup unraveled Nixon’s presidency. John Dean, former White House Counsel to the President, reveals the real story behind the cover-up and strategic operations orchestrated by Nixon’s inner circle.
2. The Cover-up Continues
John Dean is pulled deeper into the cover-up of the Watergate break-in. Dean realizes he must convince Nixon to stop lying. Dean makes plans to go public, providing information from which the Nixon administration could never recover.
3. The Whistleblower
As the administration sinks deeper into the Watergate scandal, John Dean juggles to appease all stakeholders; Dean’s fateful April 15, 1973, conversation with Nixon unravels the cover-up plot and culminates in his testimony in front of the Senate.
4. The Downfall
The bombshell revelation of Nixon’s White House recording system leads to a battle for audio tapes, which eventually collapse his presidency.
