Investigative reporter Mike Andros is convinced by the death of a once-prominent author that Dr. Hans Kipness, highly prized by his chic east side clientele, is administering more than vitamin B-12 in his shots.
4. The Treatment Succeeded, but the Patient Died
Investigative reporter Mike Andros, discovers a political columnist from Washington, DC, is on the take from the New York mob when a reporter for the New York Forum is killed in a car explosion intended for another newsman.
5. A Labor Czar is Missing
Andros fears for the life of a union leader who disappears without a trace. What he and Sandi piece together leads Mike to a powerful and unscrupulous builder involved in bribes, payoffs and maybe murder.

On the trail of a big story involving a religious cult that preys on vulnerable young people and makes them dupes by using brain washing techniques, Mike Andros stumbles upon a subversive master plan which could subtly overthrow the government.

Marina Angelis thinks she has discovered a man called Dracos, "the Beast of Athens," responsible for scores of murders during the Greek civil war — now living in New York City as Gregory Bron.
9. Death in a Toy Balloon
College students are being recruited to act as "mules" or carriers of hard drugs from a foreign country to the United States. When one such carrier is killed, Mike Andros turns his attention to cracking the slick operation.
10. The Deadly Silence
Mavis Higgins, an immigrant witnesses the murder of a toymaker but is terrified because of her immigration situation to go to the police with her evidence. A priest and Mike Andros try to encourage her.
11. Killer of the Year
A linebacker is drawn into a cover-up for the murder a quarterback committed.
12. The Surrender
A hunted radical leader asks Andros to arrange for his safe surrender.
13. The Smut Peddler
An editor of a scandal publication gets burned out repeatedly for not revealing his sources, and Mike, not fond of the editor, tries to steer an even course through a maze of international figures and reputations.
