1. The Houses
Host Mark L. Walberg introduces the teams: newlyweds Katie and Adam; Cindy and Bill, married for 11 years; and Rebecca and Joey, who have a long-distance relationship. Included: the couples compete in an obstacle course.
2. The Master Bathroom
The three couples renovate their master bathrooms and compete in a furniture-moving contest. Also: the panel of judges is introduced, including designer Kelley West and contractor Stephen Hann.
3. Master Bedroom
The three couples renovate their master bedrooms, with Rebecca and Joey creating a wall of pillows, and Bill and Cindy breaking through brick to install a window. Included: a ceiling-painting competition involving a trampoline.
4. Front Yard
The couples landscape their front yards, with Katie and Adam adding a water fountain to their atrium. Included: a water-hose contest.
5. The Living Room
The couples renovate their living rooms and compete in a game of polo played on riding lawn mowers. Included: Rebecca tries to decide on a paint color for the room.
6. Kitchen
The teams begin two-week renovations on their kitchens and also compete in a contest involving stacked paint cans. The couples call on professional electricians for their kitchen work.
7. Catch Up
The couples work on unfinished projects while professional electricians toil in the kitchens. Then, the teams compete in a puzzle contest and Katie and Adam refloor their living room.
8. Dining Room and Foyer
The couples work on the dining room and foyer. Competition involves making an entire breakfast using the same kind of tools they use in their renovations.
9. Kitchen, Part 2
After waiting two weeks for professional help to rewire their kitchens and install their cabinets, the teams are back to complete their kitchen renovations. More issues arise.
10. The Backyard
The couples work on their backyards and compete for budgets in a question-and-answer contest. Included: Rebecca and Joey build an outdoor kitchen and deck.
11. Rooms of Choice
In the final week of renovations, the show's producers choose a room for each team to remodel. Included: the couples compete in a game of miniature golf.
12. Interior Decorating
The couples furnish their homes and finish last-minute projects. Included: the teams face off in an obstacle-course competition.
13. Finale
In the season finale, viewers choose the winning home remodelers, who receive the house they've spent 12 weeks renovating.
