1. Terrifying Girl
The story begins in 1971 in Los Angeles. A young Japanese girl looks around her room, and a Christmas tree and a toy rocking horse begin to float and fly around. The little girl claps her hands in delight. However, that night, Mariko is tormented by a nightmare in which a man she doesn't know is shot and killed, causing her to sweat and suffer. Then, all the furniture and toys in the room begin to levitate and move around violently. This is the work of Mariko Sugiura, the little girl who has acquired poltergeist abilities.
2. I'm 17, so I'll Fight
Mariko, a girl with the terrifying power of poltergeist phenomena, grew into a beautiful 17-year-old without realizing her abilities, and returned to Japan from America due to her father Mototaro's work.
3. The Day the Destruction of Personality Begins!
Carrying the burden of a terrifying poltergeist phenomenon, Mariko Sugiura returns to Japan after 14 years and meets her older brother, Ryuichi Takagi. She learns about the incident involving her father, Masahiko Takagi, which is believed to be the cause of the poltergeist activity. As she contemplates her father's tragic fate, a storm of poltergeist activity rages around Mariko. Investigations by the university's paranormal research lab reveal that the poltergeist phenomenon is causing severe damage to Mariko's body. Mariko faces the terrifying prospect of personality destruction and death.
4. Can I Stay Alive?
Despite being warned of this by Mitsui, Mariko refused to give up fighting to prove the innocence of her real father, Masahiko Takagi. Mariko was then struck by symptoms that could be considered a prelude to personality disintegration. She was overwhelmed by intense fear. Amidst all this, Mariko heard the voice of Koichiro Maeda, the father of her classmate Miyako Maeda.
5. Being Called a Traitor...
Mariko laughed. Mariko cried. She might die if she continued to experience poltergeist phenomena. Or, it might cause personality disintegration. Amidst such sorrow and fear, Mariko still fought. And now, Mariko confronts it head-on.
6. I Won't Forgive You!
Due to the terrifying damage caused by the poltergeist phenomenon, Mariko remained unconscious. Meanwhile, her brother Ryuichi had begun to spiral out of control, driven by a vengeful heart. Mariko, who should have stopped him, was no longer herself. Would that angelic smile ever return? Had the Mariko who was there truly become an empty shell? Various treatments were attempted to bring Mariko back to consciousness. Would Mariko's consciousness ever return?
7. I Want to be Held in that Chest
There was love there. There was a young man consumed by hatred. There was a daughter who was bewildered as she tried to believe in her father. Mariko's father, Gentaro, was about to throw himself into the midst of the conflict. And Mariko fought against Maeda because she didn't want to involve Gentaro in the conflict. The repercussions even reached Maeda's wife, Hiroko (Miyoko Akaza), intensely shaking even the dark memories shrouded in Hiroko's past...
8. I Can't See Christmas!
After experiencing a poltergeist phenomenon, Mariko began to lose her eyesight due to the resulting trauma. Miyako, despairing over her father, Koichiro Maeda, attempted suicide, and Hiroko mistakenly believed this was due to Mariko's bullying and severely reprimanded Mariko. Hiroko is unaware that she is Mariko's biological mother. Fearing that Hiroko's amnesia would be cured, Maeda ordered his subordinates to kidnap Hiroko, and Ryuichi and Noboru followed them. Now, various people's intentions and motives intertwine surrounding Hiroko's lost memories, which hold the key to all the incidents...
9. Another Psychic Girl
Maeda manipulates Hiroko with his psychic powers and forces her to write a fake suicide note, but Miyako intervenes. The two try to escape, but they are stopped by Yoshioka and his men.　Yoshioka and his men attempt to attack Hiroko and Miyako. Ryuichi and his younger associate Noboru fight to protect Hiroko and Miyako from Yoshioka's men. Mariko, sensing this telepathically, sets Yoshioka and his men ablaze and heads to Maeda's mansion. However, Megumi stands in her way. Unable to fight her own sister, Mariko collapses in front of Maeda's mansion. Miyako cradles her, filled with remorse.
10. Laboratory of Death
Megumi, beginning to notice something strange about herself, rejects both Hiroko and even Maeda, and runs away. At Ryuichi's hideout, Miyako pleads, "I don't want to go back to that house." Then Megumi arrives and says, "You don't have to go back." Megumi then causes a poltergeist phenomenon and collapses. Mitsui takes Megumi to Professor Suenaga's research lab, but the equipment malfunctions and becomes uncontrollable. Maeda begs Mariko to use her powers to save Megumi. "If I cure her, will you turn yourself in?" Mariko asks. Maeda promises. Mariko is given a day's grace and throws a home party. Everyone tries to act cheerful despite the circumstances.
11. Two Psychics Against One
Finally, the police begin investigating Maeda. Hiroko tells Mariko that Maeda is her biological father. After learning that Takagi had gone missing during the Vietnam War, Hiroko went to Saigon, met Maeda, and, in a moment of despair, they became intimate. However, upon returning to Japan, Hiroko discovered that Takagi was still alive, and then Mariko was born.
12. Holy Girl - The Final Battle!
Kuroki calls Mariko, only saying that Hiroko is safe. Mariko calls the police and learns that Kuroki has gone to Tsuruoka City, Yamagata Prefecture. There is a golf course owned by Maeda in Yamagata. Gentaro and the others try to send Mariko to America under a pretext, but Mariko runs away from home. Gentaro resolves to go to Tsuruoka, but Kanae collapses from stress.
