During a teachers' strike, Thurgood joins Juicy and Calvin in home schooling after it's revealed he never got his diploma.
2. The Postman's Always Shot Twice
The Stubbses take in Mrs. Avery after authorities threaten to send her to a rest home following her shotgun attack on the mailman.
3. The Preacher's Life
Thurgood undergoes a religious transformation after receiving an electrical shock, followed by a vision of a black Jesus. So, he decides to become a preacher.
4. The HJs
Thurgood revives the project's defunct radio station, and it takes off after he and Smokey inadvertently form a comedy team. But Smokey proves to be more popular, and that doesn't help Thurgood's ego.
5. Haiti and the Tramp
Matchmaker Muriel pairs Haiti Lady with Walter. They fight like cats and dogs, which acts like a mutual aphrodisiac. But that may be the extent of their relationship.
6. Smokey the Squatter
The law's on Smokey's side when he claims squatter's rights after Thurgood lets him spend a night in a vacant apartment to ride out a storm.

After capturing a thieving rat, Thurgood enters the rodent in the Friday night rat fights, where their success is short-lived.

Snoop Dogg plays a rap artist whose interest in the rhymes of Calvin and Juicy prompt Thurgood to become their manager.
12. What's Eating Juicy Hudson?
Stressed from caring for his parents, Juicy finds solace building a treehouse with Thurgood, who becomes mediator between boy and father.
13. The Jeffersons
After Muriel finds he's a descendant of Thomas Jefferson, Thurgood decides to run for political office, but his ideals are compromised by some shady new "friends."
14. Robbin' HUD
When HUD refuses to grant the building a new water filter, Thurgood and the tenants break into the office to steal one, but find something else even more valuable.
15. Cliffhangin' With Mr. Super
Thurgood is unsure of the facts when he wakes up with Bebe after a night of heavy drinking.
16. The Last Affirmative Action Hero
Jackie Chan guest stars as his film shoots in the neighborhood. Thurgood is made responsible for protecting the area's image in the movie.
17. A Parole Officer and a Gentleman
Walter arranges a brief jail stay to get free dental care for Thurgood, who assaults the dentist and lands on probation, overseen by Walter.
