1. Start in Athens
In front of the impressive backdrop of the Zappeion in Athens, supermodel Heidi Klum personally welcomes her candidates at the start of the 17th #GNTM and surprises them with the first test: an impressive fashion show in front of a live audience.
2. Bootcamp Edition
Eat, sleep, model, repeat. The candidates are still at the beginning of their modeling careers and still have a lot to learn. That's why the second episode has the motto “Bootcamp Edition”.
3. Promo Edition
The Promo Edition is coming! In the third episode, the shooting for the Germany-wide poster campaign for “Germany’s Next Top Model” takes place. Natural beauty is important here: the models remain without make-up and unstyled.
4. Action Edition
And action! The fourth episode has it all. In a spectacular video shoot, the models are catapulted out of a car into the air at the push of a button. Anyone who manages to maintain composure and expression has a good chance of convincing Heidi Klum.
5. Casting Edition
Castings, castings, castings! Heidi Klum gives the model candidates an exclusive casting training before they go to Athens. Who can convince customers at the casting marathon and get the most jobs?
6. The big GNTM Makeover!
Snap, snap, hair off! The big #GNTM makeover is coming up and Heidi Klum has come up with individual looks for the top model candidates: bangs or pixie cut? Blonde bob or dark curls and extensions?
7. Sedcard Shooting
Strike a pose! The comp card shooting is coming up this week and a big surprise awaits the models who do the best. For the decision walk, the candidates transform themselves into dark, wind-up vintage dolls.
8. Social Media Edition
In the social media edition, each model has to promote a crazy product in the style of an influencer in the video shoot. The young models then face a real interview situation and try to demonstrate their social media skills.
9. Fantasy Edition
The Fantasy Edition is coming! Courage and expressiveness are required during a photo shoot. Three models are styled as plush figures and are mounted at a height of ten meters and pose in a competition.
10. Castingmarathon in L.A.
Castings, castings, castings! In L.A., the top model candidates go on a real casting marathon and try to land one of the coveted jobs.
11. Bodypainting Shoot
In the shoot of the week, the models can shine twice as much. Because it's not just the golden body painting that makes her shine, the poses should also be an eye-catcher.
12. Getting into the Top 10
Confidence is key. Not every model is yet able to come out of their shell and exude self-confidence. That's why Nikeata Thompson comes to the villa and gives the models a lesson on self-confidence and self-love.
13. Dream Edition
This week acting talent is in demand. In the video shoot, the models recreate a visit to prison in the 80s. The shooting partner and prisoner is none other than Hollywood star Brigitte Nielsen.
14. Duel Week
Duel week. When it comes to casting, the most important thing is the personality of the model. They should represent their personal superpower through a self-selected outfit and accessory.
15. The Cover Shoot
The cover shoot for Harper’s Bazaar is coming up. Every pose, every look and every movement of the #GNTM models has to be right here. Together with a robot as a partner, each model has to prove to the camera why she belongs on the cover.
16. The Entry into the Final
Semifinals! The shooting demands everything from the semi-finalists. On a 5-meter-high swinging pole, they need constant body tension in order to be able to offer different poses and an expressive face.
17. The grand Finale
Final! After an exciting time in the fashion world, the top model candidates face their final challenge in the 17th season of “Germany’s Next Top Model – by Heidi Klum”.
