In an abandoned quarry near Brno find casual skaters body of reginonal politician Karas. Someone dragged him after a long torture into the quarry, where he was speared on the rail, pierced by the sword, and his body was wrapped by dead black snake. The case was taken on by South-Moravian detectives headed by Major Michael Remes.
