Season 3 of Gegar Vaganza premiered on 2016-10-16.

For the first time, the popular Gegar Vaganza (GV) show features a twist with three participants from 12 contestants who will compete in the fifth season.

This season, legendary singer from Indonesia, Hetty Koes Endang returns as a permanent judge with Dato 'Ramli MS. Lawyers for this season still retain the leading comedians duo Nabil Ahmad and Jihan Muse.

Gegar Vaganza 7 or Gegar Vaganza 2020 (The New Norm) featuring 14 participants from Malaysia only. Malaysian legendary singer, Khatijah Ibrahim is back as a permanent jury with Dato 'Ramli MS. The hosts for this season still retain the leading comedian duo Nabil Ahmad and Jihan Muse. This year, there is a difference for this edition because no participants involved from abroad are involved as in previous seasons due to the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic due to safety and health factors to deal with this pandemic.

Raising the theme of Gegar Vaganza 2021's Different Dimensions (Bintang Kembali Menyengat) on the New Norm scale, this eighth season will take place according to standard operating procedures (SOP) set by the government as the country is still under the National Recovery Plan (PPN) Phase 4 due to the pandemic, COVID-19 in Malaysia. With various changes implemented in order to comply with the conditions and guidelines of SOPs set by the government, including the organization of weekly concerts on a small scale with a small number of spectators that is only 150 spectators are allowed to watch and must meet the conditions set by the government that is only complete Only the Vaccinated or Fully Vaccinated are allowed to enter to watch in the Studio.

The professional and experienced singers will be coming back to our screen in this new singing competition and they will compete to be the winner of Gegar Vaganza S9.

By featuring the champions throughout the nine seasons as well as five fans' choices, 'GV' this time should be more intense because the participants will compete with the best in the local music scene and even the archipelago. All Stars Gegar Vaganza maintains the original judging format which is judged based on a 100% scoring system by a professional jury. The contestant with the lowest score each week will be eliminated. The winner will take home a cash prize of RM200,000.

Season 12 of Gegar Vaganza premiered on 2025-11-02.
